Marissa’s session was very unique and fun we; explored a new location, we had our awesome intern Becca record video of the process, and Marissa brought her Cinderella gown. Guess who’s going to start blogging again? THIS GIRL! I’ll cut the apologies and explanation for my absence and get right to the good part; I’m back on track and have so many incredible sessions to share from this summer!

First is Madi, she’s an incredibly funny, beautiful senior from Sprague. I loved her sense of humor and her fashion style! 2011 Christmas Mini Shoots

The holidays are upon us with Halloween in 2 days, Thanksgiving in 26 days, and Christmas…AHHH Christmas in 57 days! How wonderfully amazing! There is no time to waste in preparations, and I am happy to announce the details for our 2011 Christmas mini sessions. These were a huge hit last year and everyone involved had a great time. I strongly urge you to schedule your mini shoot for some quality updated portraits, these are special, low prices you’ll only see once a year. ; )

WHAT: 20 Minute Christmas Portrait Session.
WHEN: Saturday November 12th 10:00am-4:00pm & Sunday November 13th 1:30PM-4:00PM. Please see below for time slots still available.
WHERE: Bush Park Gardens, near the rose gardens & Bush house.
WHAT YOU GET: 10-20 images in an online gallery and three collections to choose from. Prices range from $125-$350.

Hey 2012 Seniors! Can you believe the new school year has already begun?! I’ve got some important news for you today. If you haven’t yet booked your senior portrait session and are still procrastinating, this post is my last ditch effort to get your buns in gear! I know life can get busy but it takes a few minutes to contact me, so let’s get the ball rollin’ before it’s too late. Summer is over (sad face) school is in session, and those yearbook photo deadlines are fast, FAST approaching. I would really love to meet with you and get your unique senior portrait session planned, and avoid the last minute rush. Below is a listing of all the local high school’s deadlines that I know of. Please note that in order to avoid rush fees on my end, your session needs to be scheduled 3 weeks before your yearbook due date. In the event of a reschedule due to weather, there will be rush fees.

I am currently booking in October & November, and will be taking on a limited amount of shoots. If you want to get your end of summer/fall portraits done you need to contact me right away, before those dates are gone.

August Previews { Salem OR Senior Photographer }

I have been a little absent from my blog recently, but all for marvelous reasons. I am swamped with consultations, order meetings and shoots for seniors, seniors, and more seniors! When my husband and I decided to start specializing in seniors, and center everything around that I will admit I was scared. I was worried about what shoots we wouldn’t book, and unsure if there would be enough seniors to sustain us as we moved in that direction. We still do other types of session and weddings and quite enjoy them, but our intent is to eventually shoot seniors exclusively. Anyway long story made VERY short, this season has blessed my socks off so far, and I can hardly get all these seniors booked fast enough. I think I tapped into something, God’s plan perhaps? Starting a business has been so hard, and the last 3 years has had it’s fair share of difficulties, setbacks, insecurities, and struggles, as it would be with any new business. This year we took a big risk, followed a dream, and asked God to open doors. He did. : ) I can hardly describe the feeling I have seeing all the difficulties, struggles, risks, and working WAY TOO MANY HOURS pay off! This is my dream job, working with high school seniors and providing them the service, experience, and product I do. I have so much more to share, but I will keep it short and sweet for now.

I wish I had more time to get some full blogs put together, but in the meantime I will tease you with previews from some of my recent sessions. Some if not most of these may or may not be ones I’ve already shared on facebook. But cut me some slack, it’s BUSY SEASON! And I’m so busy with seniors, hallelujah!
